Q: How can coffee this inexpensive be any good?
A: Don't let our prices fool you - we sell ONLY high-quality coffee that we roast ourselves. By selling our coffee in 5lb and 25lb bags we are able to offer all of our customers, from the home enthusiast to the coffee shop, the wholesale price. Other than our pricing, we are no different from any other gourmet/specialty coffee roaster. Orders are typically roasted and shipped withing 24 hours.

Q: Are there special prices for resellers?
A: We price our coffees and teas at wholesale price levels for everyone! There is no minimum quantity to buy in order to enjoy our prices.

Q: Can I order samples?
A: Samples are available in 1/4lb quantities for just $4.00 by calling 1-888-BEANS-11 to order. There is a maximum of 4 samples per order.

Q: How should I store my coffee purchase?
A: Whole bean coffee will stay fresh at room temperature in a sealed container for about 23 days. Ground coffee will lose freshness much faster. We suggest using a glass jar in the refrigerator for extended life. Glass prevents outside odors from absorbing into the beans, and does not produce it's own smell. Grind beans just before brewing for peak freshness and flavor. For even longer life, you can keep whole beans in the freezer. They do not need to be thawed to brew.

Q: How do I brew my coffee purchase?
A: For regular drip coffee makers, use one Approved Coffee Measurement (ACM - 2 tablespoons) per 8oz cup of water. If brew is too strong, dilute the finished pot with hot water. For all other coffee makers, refer to the included documentation for full instructions.

Q: Who roasts/packages your coffee?
A: Coffee Bean Direct is a coffee roasting company- we are not a middleman or a warehouse who out sources roasters. We control the entire process- we roast and ship our own beans in-house.

Q: Do you sell ground coffee?
A: We sell both ground and whole bean coffee. There is a grinding fee of 40 cents per pound. Just click on the GROUND option when selecting your coffee, and we would be more than happy to do so. Whole bean coffee will stay fresh much longer then ground coffee, so we always suggest to our customers that they grind it right before brewing for the best flavor.

Q: Where do you ship your coffee to?
A: At this time, we only ship coffee to the contiguous 48 United States. International and overseas orders can be placed via phone. Please note that our free shipping offer does not apply to orders outside the continental USA.

Q: How do I place orders?
A: There are several ways to order from Coffee Bean Direct. You can shop online via this very website- its completely secure. You can order by phone by calling us at 1-888-BEANS-11.

Q: What payment options are available?
A: You can pay online by credit card- Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards are all welcome. Our online store is totally secure and encrypted- your information is completely safe. We also accept checks and money orders via mail. Paypal is also accepted. We now support Google Checkout as a payment option. Just hit the Google Checkout button in your shopping cart to be directed to the Google Checkout process.

Q: Do you offer Free Shipping?
A: All orders that are 25 lbs and over get Free Shipping, but only to the contiguous United States. All free shipping orders are sent UPS Ground. Orders weighing 2-24 lbs will be charged standard UPS Ground shipping rates.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: If you are dissatisfied with your order, you can return it for a refund of the product value. Returns must be made within 2 weeks of delivery of your order. Call 888-BEANS-11 to arrange returns. WE DO NOT TAKE RETURNS OF GROUND COFFEE

Q: Do you offer terms, credit accounts, etc?
A: No. All orders must be paid in full before we ship them. This is one way we keep our prices low. Also, We do not offer CODs

Q: Do you flavor your Coffee and Tea with all-natural flavoring?
A: The only 100% natural flavoring we use is the bergamot oil we use for our Earl Grey tea.

Q: How long is the turnaround time for my order?
A: Orders are typically roasted and shipped within 24 business hours of payment.

Q: What types of packaging do you use for your coffee?
A: Coffee Bean Direct offers two packaging/quantity options: 25 lb burlap bags (with plastic liners), and 5lb foil bags with a 1-way valve.

Q: How are your coffees packaged and shipped?
A: Coffee burlaps are packed in sturdy boxes. The maximum weight in which we ship our coffees is 50 lbs for burlaps, 60 lbs for valve bags. We ship via UPS Ground.

Q: Where do you ship from?
A: Coffee Bean Direct ships all its coffee from our roasting facility in New Jersey.

Q: Do you sell Green/Unroasted coffee beans?
A: Yes. There is a Green Coffee section on our website- access it by clicking on the Green Coffee links on the left side of the website. We also offer Green Coffee through GreenCoffees.com.
