Product Description

Mexican Altura proves its country of origin should be renowned for more than just delicious food. Just in case you were wondering, altura means ‘heights.’ Grown in the rich, volcanic soil high in Mexico’s central and southern mountain ranges, this varietal exemplifies its lofty name. These quality beans brew a smooth, righteously high-caliber cup and feature a nutty flavor reminiscent of silky, roasted hazelnut. Mexican Altura is sure to shoot you to the heights of coffee heaven!

GREAT COFFEE

“WE HAVE BOUGHT THIS COFEE IN 5# BAGS MANY TIMES. RAN OUT A FEW DAYS AGO (FORGOT TO ORDER) MISS OUR MEXICAN ATURA, OTHERS DON'T DO THE TRICK.”
An Earthy Taste...
By Bruce - 10/3/2015
“We've had this variety before but the last bag had a bit of an "earthy" taste per my wife's description and I couldn't come up with a better description. It could have been from a bad batch or??? We typically enjoy light roasted, smooth coffees (Columbina Supremo is our go-to variety) but there are several varieties we've enjoyed over the years. This one is no longer on our 'A list'.”
Yep, it's great

“I've run through quite a few pounds of colombian supremo over the past year and I thought it could not be topped. This coffee is a great change of pace and awesome for those that are fans of a lighter roast. Markedly lighter in roast, texture, and flavor than the supremo (light roast), it is an awesome breakfast coffee. I was looking for more of a caffeine kick and the altura provides that easily. It is extremely smooth, not bitter in the least, and the acidity has a great balance. It is still a full flavored coffee with many nuances throughout, not watery at all, but not heavy on the tongue either. This is probably going to be my go-to from now on. Love it!”
