Fennel Seed

Fennel seed is one of the most common blending ingredients in teas, especially chai. These very aromatic seeds add a light flavor to your cup: sweet, spicy black licorice. Fennel is very often confused with the similarly flavored spice anise. Fennel seed is not the seed for the vegetable you are familiar with from the produce section but actually the dried fruit of the fennel herb.
