Product Description

In 850 AD, it is said an Ethiopian goat herder discovered the wonders of coffee when his flock grew restless and wouldn’t go to sleep at night. Curious, he discovered that his flock had been eating the cherries of coffee trees. This innovator of caffeinated beverages made his discovery in Yirgacheffe, a region located in south-central Ethiopia. Featuring subtle fruity and chocolaty undertones, this Light roast also preserves a kick strong enough to get anyone ready to face the day. Whether you are writing code or herding goats, you’ll know Yirgacheffe is the discovery of a lifetime.

Organic Boring
By Keith - 4/4/2018
“I really wanted to like this coffee, but am sorely disappointed with the flat flavor. Seems to lack true body. I've brewed it as a pour over in my Bunn maker and tried stove top perk. Both fell short of the Coffee Bean Direct hype noted in their description. Organic blah.”

“By far one of the best coffees I’ve ever tasted. I get compliments on it all the time, people come over just to have some!”
Ethiopian Yigacheffe Coffee
By Jeffrey - 12/6/2016
“This is actually my favorite coffee bean. I buy it whole bean, five pound bag and use a french coffee press to make my coffee in the morning. Two cups and I'm good for the day. I prefer a light roast which this is. The darker roasts are too much for me. Also, I prefer the organic version which is available as well. Thank you coffee bean direct for offering this bean. Its my go to coffee.”
