There are a lot of things to love about Costa Rica. The landscape is gorgeous. The beaches are clean, and the weather is warm year round. What we love most, however, is the coffee. Costa Rica is regarded as one of the world's premiere coffee growing regions due to its volcanic soil and ideal drainage. As a result, this dark roasted, full-bodied coffee creates a slightly more complex cup than the light roast. Its flavor profile is marked by the same subtle chocolate and citrus nuances, but its finish has a gentle, lingering smokiness. Without a doubt, this stuff is the definition of ‘pura vida.’
French Roast Costa Rican Tarrazu is especially well-suited for brewing in a french press, but it’s also great in an autodrip.
- Keep coming back....
- “Over the past few years, I have tried several of your coffees, but I keep coming back to this one. I know that coffee taste is very subjective, but I find this one satisfies what I'm looking for. The dark roast is more robust, yet never bitter or too heavy. Highly recommended....”
- Great Tasting Dark Roast
I noticed the that Dark Costa Rican Tarrazu is a much smoother grind than the espresso bean. When brewed through my French press, the coffee has a very rich flavor with no bitterness. I am very pleased with this bean.”
“I am new to coffee drinking and am still learning the ins and outs to good coffee. This is only my second whole bean coffee purchase, the first being an Italian Espresso bean.
